Halloween Day Parade

Parade Participant Registration

The Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce is pleased to kick off this year's Halloween Day Parade participants' registration. To ensure a successful parade and to comply with town rules, we need all parade participants to either pre-register through this online registration page or register in-person the day of the parade.

Rules & Policies

The Point Pleasant Police Department has provided a list of rules for parade participants to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance at the parade.
  1. No motorized vehicles will be allowed in a walking division.
  2. All passengers should be secured in or on a vehicle or float and must remain in/on the vehicle/float for the entirety of the parade.
  3. All vehicles should be propelled at a safe speed and in a straight line.
  4. There will be no walkers alongside or accompanying any motorized vehicle or float. Walkers will only be allowed in the walking division. No exceptions!
  5. There will be no handing out of candy or other items during the parade procession. The Chamber will be handing out candy at the end of the parade inside Community Park. Any person/party/group that distributes candy in the parade will be removed from the parade immediately.
  6. Parade floats may be inspected by any member of the Chamber Parade Committee or the Point Pleasant Police Department for potential safety issues.

Participants will line up at the Nature's Reward annex parking lot (across from Life Chapel) on Mattapan Avenue. Groups and floats will line up at the Stop and Shop side street

Parade begins at 12:00 pm
​Registration Deadline:
  • Online pre-registration is open until October 22, 12:00 pm in order to ensure that mailed out participant kits are received by registrants
  • In-person registration in the parking lot on the west side of Mavis Discount Tire Service Center on Parade Day beginning at 11:30 am

Please complete all the participant information fields in Part 1 of the form below and sign (type your full name) and date the participant liability waiver and release in Part 2. Then hit the "Register" button to complete your participant registration. If you have any questions, please call us at ​732-295-8850.

    Part 2: Participant Liability Waiver & Release


    In consideration for the opportunity to participate in the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (PPCC) Halloween Parade (the “Event”), I agree as follows for myself, and for my child(ren) who participate and/or attend with me:
    1. I hereby waive and release, for myself, my child, my heirs, executors and administrators, any and all rights, claims, liabilities and causes of action whatsoever I or my child may have against the PPCC Halloween Parade Committee, its affiliates and the Event operators and sponsors and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (the “Event Parties”) relating to or arising from my or my child’s participation in the Event, including but not limited to personal injury.   
    2. I recognize the Event has inherent risk of injury and I hereby assume that risk, and on behalf of me and my child. If I or my child causes injury to any person or damage to any property while participating in the Event, I hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Event Parties from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, loses, damages and expenses related to or arising from such injury or damage.   
    3. I hereby give my consent to the PPCC Halloween Parade Committee and its affiliates to use my and my child’s name and photographs, video and film (“Photos”) of me and/or my child taken before, during or after the Event in advertising and promotional materials for the PPCC Halloween Parade, including but not limited to the Internet, without compensation. I agree that no advertising or other material need be submitted to me or my child for approval. I agree that all Photos of me and/or my child used by PPCC Halloween Parade Committee and its affiliates are owned by PPCC Halloween Parade Committee and they may copyright material containing same.
    4. I hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless the Event Parties from any liability, including, without limitation, any claims for libel or invasion of publicity/privacy, by virtue of any use of my or my child’s name and/or Photos, including, any alteration of such Photos, whether intentional or otherwise. 
    5. I agree that I will not distribute candy or any form of a hand-out during the Halloween Parade procession and that violation of this rule is grounds for ejection from the procession.

    I acknowledge that I have read and understand the waiver and release described above. I further affirm that this release and waiver shall be constructed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum permissible under applicable law (your typed name and signing date below constitutes your signed acceptance of both this acknowledgement and affirmation):
