Edward A Butler opened Butler Pharmacy on Bridge Avenue in October of 1955. Norman Beyer was hired as a young pharmacist in 1957 and assumed ownership of the store from 1970 to 2016. Norman subsequently turned the business over to his daughter, Tracye Beyer Steel, who, like her father, is a pharmacist. Today, Butler Pharmacy continues to operate as a family business with the addition of Tracye's son, Benjamin Steel, who introduces a third generation of the family to the Pharmacy.
